The Etasker terms & conditions (updated 30 September 2024) outline Etasker’s and your obligations and responsibilities on the Etasker platform. In this update to our Terms and Conditions, Etasker has clarified the process required (and timing related) to formalize the completion of tasks.

User Agreement

Etasker operates an online platform allowing users to connect through the Etasker Platform with other users who provide services.

Please read these terms and all policies, including the Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy, carefully before using the Etasker platform. These policies are incorporated into this Agreement by reference.

1. Scope of Etasker Services

Basic Principles

  • Etasker provides the Etasker platform to enable users to publish tasks.
  • Users may make offers in response to a posted task. Some parts of offer details may be publicly available.
  • A task contract is created once a user accepts an offer for a task, at which point the agreed payment is processed.
  • Once services are complete, the user must release payment or raise a dispute within 10 days. If no response is received, the task will be marked completed.

Tasker Listing

  • Etasker may provide a Tasker Listing feature enabling taskers to publish their services.
  • Users can book a Tasker Listing by submitting a booking request.

2. Etasker’s Role and Obligations

  • Etasker provides the platform and associated services but is not responsible for the conduct or capabilities of users or taskers.
  • Etasker may refuse or suspend accounts at its discretion if necessary to ensure the platform's integrity.

3. User Obligations

  • You agree to comply with this Agreement, provide accurate information, and adhere to all applicable laws.
  • You must not use the Etasker platform for illegal or immoral purposes.
  • You retain control over your Etasker account and must not transfer or sell it to another person.

4. Fees

  • Connection fees and service fees are charged for using the Etasker platform.
  • Fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable laws.

5. Payments, Refunds, and Cancellations

If a task is canceled, the agreed amount will be refunded as credits or returned to the payment method upon request. Cancellation fees may apply based on responsibility.

6. Etasker Credits

Credits issued are valid for 18 months and may be used on the platform but are not redeemable for cash.

7. Insurance

Etasker may provide insurance options for users in select regions. Users are responsible for assessing their own insurance needs.

8. Modifications to the Agreement

Etasker may update this Agreement periodically. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or through the platform.

9. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the user's jurisdiction as specified in the Country-Specific Terms (Appendix B).
